We would like to wish you a warm welcome to our Bishop Rawle Primary School Website and hope you enjoy experiencing just a flavour of the fun things that happen here.

Here at Bishop Rawle we pride ourselves on being a warm, friendly, caring team of people who work very hard to provide the very best for our children.  We endeavour to develop a family feel to ensure that the children in our care feel safe and secure and are enabled to reach their potential in all sorts of ways.  We are a church of England Aided school which provides the basis for an ethos that recognises all people as being special creations of God and worth going the extra mile for.  Our motto is ‘Going for Gold with God’ and we encourage children to strive for the best in all they do with our 4 simple school rules:

With best wishes and blessings,

Kate Clowes

We believe that children’s education is a key to them accessing a full, rich life and prioritise providing for children’s individual learning needs to enable them to achieve the very best that they are capable of.  Every person matters that enters Bishop Rawle and we pride ourselves on being an outward looking school that seeks to benefit our community to support the lives of families in the widest sense, as we feel that in this way we are enriching the lives of our children and providing for their future.  We have strong links with St Giles the Abbott and Father James is a regular visitor to school, taking worship (which is open to parents and friends) every Friday.  We also have the ‘Bishop Rawle Family Hub’ onsite where Local Children’s services have a base to support families in all sorts of ways such as Soccer Lions.

We want all children to have a happy, exciting, fun filled journey of learning in our school and feel that to do this it is important to have strong relationships with families, with open, constructive dialogue.  To this end we have an ‘open door’ policy that means that we listen to all concerns or queries as soon as is humanly possible and work hard to immediately address them.  Having been in Special Measures, we ensure that we are now always striving to move forward and provide only the very best for our children – please feel free to visit and see for yourself.
